Do you like scary movies? Name a horror movie that really scared you, sometimes amuse you and then apart the cult ones… What about top 5 cult classic horror movies list? It’s a hard task to catch the all best cult horror movies.

Cult classic horror movie tales are sometimes weirder and more grotesque than the horror movies we used to. For example Robin Hardy’s 1973 movie ‘The Wicker Man’, vintage British horror, is a good cult classic. Peter Jackson’s 1992 cult classic Braindead with it’s gore nature, Romero’s Night of the Living Dead and of course Dawn of the Dead are another examples. On the other hand, Dario Argento’s  magnificent cult classic too (and of course i love this movie you can see in another lists of mine at #1) But what about the “other” ones?

When we look into Wikipedia we can see the simple definition of cult films; “The term cult movie as well as midnight movie was first used by critics and viewers in 1970, for the New York premiere of El Topo by Alejandro Jodorowsky. Cult films trace their origin back to controversial and suppressed films kept alive by dedicated fans. In some cases, reclaimed or rediscovered films have acquired cult followings decades after their original release, sometimes for their camp value. Some cult films have since become well-respected or reassessed as classics; there is debate as to whether these popular and accepted films are still cult films… Since the late 1970s, cult films have become increasingly more popular and mainstream, which has drawn accusations that Hollywood studios have begun trying to artificially create cult films.
